Recipe

Ingredients 

4oz Batch

80% Avocado Butter 90.72 Grams

10% Kokum Butter 11.34 Grams

7.3% Argan Oil 8.50 Grams

1% Vitamin E Oil Grams

1% Wild Rose Fragrance 1.13 Grams

.5% Arrowroot Powder 0.57 Grams

.2% Rose Pink Mica 0.23 Grams

Clean and Sanitize all equipments and surface your going to use for this project

Method

  1. Measure out Avocado Butter and Kokum Butter. 
  2. Gently melt the butters in a separate heat proof container over a low heat using a double boiler or 30 seconds at a time in the microwave.  
  3. Measure Argan Oil in a separate container.
  4. Once the body butter has completely melted, remove from heat and let the mixture cool a little before adding Argan Oil.
  5. Place mixture in the freezer to set, it can take up to 20 minutes 
  6. If you would like scented body butter, measure and combine vitamin e oil, fragrance oil, arrowroot and mica. Mix thoroughly so that all the oils are blended.
  7. To create a whipped butter, use an electric whisk to incorporate air into your body butter. 
  8. Add Vitamin E Oil, arrowroot mixture and whisk 
  9. As the mixture sets and more air is incorporated, it will start to become lighter and change to a pale cream colour
  10. Whisking until you are happy with the consistency
  11. Store your Body Butter in a container and leave to set for 24 hours before using

Optional Decor

I topped my body with Kokum Butter Hearts

Melt Kokum butter 

Add a sparkle of Pink Mica (or mica of choice) to melted Kokum butter

Sparkle Gold Mica in Heart Shaped Mold

Pour melted butter in mold put in freeze to set for one hour

Unmold and place on top of body butter

This Kokum bar will melt on contact and glide over the skin

Arrowroot powder
