Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients

To make homemade strawberry extract, you'll need the following ingredients:

74.5% Vegetable Glycerine 42.24 Grams

25% Strawberries 14.17 Grams

0.5% broad spectrum Preservative 0.28 Grams

Step 2: Prepare the Strawberries

Start by washing the strawberries thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Once clean, remove the stems and cut the strawberries into small pieces. This will help release their flavor more effectively.


  

Step 3: Combine the Ingredients

Place the chopped strawberries into a clean glass jar or bottle. Pour the glycerine and preservative over the strawberries, making sure they are fully submerged. Seal the container tightly.

Step 4: Infuse and Store

Store the jar or bottle in a cool, dark place for two to six weeks. During this time, the glycerine will extract the flavor from the strawberries. You can give the container a gentle shake every few days to help with the infusion process.

Step 5: Strain and Bottle

After two to six weeks, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the strawberry solids. The resulting liquid is your homemade strawberry extract. Transfer it to a clean bottle or jar for storage.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Your homemade strawberry extract is now ready to be used in your favorite recipes.  Remember, a little goes a long way!
