Directions
Add two to three pieces to 8oz of hot water cover and steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain, sweeten if you like and serve hot or over ice, Enjoy!
Jamaican Sorrel Drink
1oz Sorrel
1/2-1 tablespoon freshly chopped ginger
1/4 cup cane sugar (more or less if you like)
2 Pimento berries (optional)
1/2-1 tablespoon of wray & nephew rum (optional, add to taste)
2 cups water
Add the sorrel to a pot of boiling water along with the spices.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, let simmer for 10 minutes.
Cover and leave overnight or 12 hours to steeps and cool.
Strain and sweeten to your liking with cane sugar
Wray & Nephew Rum is optional, add alittle or a lot
a small piece of cinnamon in the bottles you storage the completed drink
Mix store in refrigerator and seal the bottles
Serve over ice enjoy!
